Piotr Lewczuk

About me

Piotr Lewczuk is a legal advisor specializing in financial and corporate law, with particular emphasis on banking and business insurance law. He has 10 years  experience, related to servicing financial institutions, including a banking entities. Since 2010, he has managed a team operating in the legal area in banking operations and participated in a number of transactions related to capital raising (including public offerings), as well as 1 erformed transactional advice related to the capital market (mergers and acquisitions), consisting of structuring transactions, conducting due diligence processes, preparing transaction documents and participating in negotiations. In connection with his activity in the area of banking operations, he actively participated in the creation of organizational structures of the banking instistution and other financial institutions. Piotr actively participated in the process of creating banking products and business guidelines, including a number of operational, processual aspects. He was also involved in comprehensive corporate and regulatory consulting in the area of banking operations and financial institutions. He is a graduate of the University of Wroclaw. He also completed postgraduate studies in business insurance organized by the Cracow University of Economics. He provides legal services in Polish and English.

Experience

In his practice Piotr:

  • Performed dozens of due diligence projects for entities operating in the financial and non-financial markets.
  • Took part in more than a dozen acquisition processes involving a financial institution.
  • Provided comprehensive legal advice to one of the biggest Polish banks.
  • Took part in drafting the prospectus and provided legal advice on the admission of shares of a new issue to trading on the regulated market.
  • Participated as an advisor in restructuring processes within a banking capital group.
  • Advised on and supervised the process of cross-border mergers between companies based in the EU.
  • Took part in proceedings before administrative authorities, including proceedings before the Financial Supervision Commission.
  • Provided legal advice on the implementation of disclosure obligations of listed companies.
